What can I expect during a Kinesiology treatment?
The first treatment will include a detailed consultation and last approximately an hour and a half. Subsequent treatments will last approximately an hour.
You will remain fully clothed and it is best to wear loose comfortable clothing and preferably trousers.
In the first treatment, specific muscle tests will be carried out to screen for possible inhibiting factors such as:
Parasites
Candida
Toxic Metals (including amalgam fillings)
Food sensitivities
Low Hydrochloric acid
Kinesiology is an interactive and dynamic therapy - your participation and awareness of the muscle feedback is an essential part of the treatment. You do not need to reveal any more information than you wish, though I assure you of complete confidentiality and respectful non-judgement of any experiences and emotions. A treatment consists of various techniques to restore balance to the affected parts of the body. These may be in the form of:
Stimulating acupuncture points
Massaging lymphatic points
Hands on healing including Reiki
Bach Flower Remedies
Homeopathic remedies
Nutritional supplements
Exercises
Structural realignment
Emotional stress release techniques
Chakra and aura balancing
Food testing and dietary advice
Goal setting and Affirmations
Conversations to identify and change habits and patterns of behaviour
The feedback provided through muscle testing will indicate the exact treatment your body needs to restore balance and harmony.
After the initial consultation you will be advised of any lifestyle changes you may need to make such as dietary changes, exercises, nutritional supplements, affirmations and stress releasing techniques.
Who can benefit?
Everyone!
Healthy people will benefit from regular treatments as well as those who are not so well. Prevention is better than cure so regular balances can have untold future benefits through optimising health.
Even babies, children, older people and disabled people who cannot be muscle tested directly can be tested through a surrogate (you will need to bring someone with you).
Some of the conditions that are commonly helped by kinesiology:
Anxiety; Bloating; Depression; Digestive issues including IBS, Leaky Gut and Candida; Emotional Traumas and Phobias; Fatigue and Tiredness; Food Intolerances, Hay fever and other allergic reactions; Headaches and Migraines; Hormonal imbalances including, Thyroid issues, Adrenal Fatigue and Menstrual issues from puberty to menopause; Injuries old and new; Insomnia; Joint and Muscles pains including Backs, Neck, Shoulders, Hips and Knees; Skin Conditions and Stress - to name just a few.
What are the benefits?
Kinesiology restores the whole system to balance, facilitating the self-healing process. It can, for example:
Increase energy and vitality
Prevent illness
Help achieve life goals
Relieve physical pain and tension and improve posture
Defuse stress and the causes of stress
Heal traumas
Enhance brain function and co-ordination
Discover individual nutritional needs
Identify food and environmental sensitivities
Find and clear underlying causes of energy blocks/imbalances/diseases
Restore self-empowerment
It also helps you become more aware of your body, of the things that cause imbalance in your life, what works for you, what doesn’t work for you. It raises your consciousness of your body and your emotions for you to take responsibility for any changes that you need to make.
What happens after a treatment?
After the initial consultation you will be advised of any lifestyle changes you may need to make such as dietary changes, exercises, nutritional supplements, affirmations and stress releasing techniques.
Nutritional supplements are a vital part of helping your body return to a state of well-being and are charged separately or you will be advised where to obtain them.
The number of sessions you require will depend on the nature of your complaint and how long you have had it. In general, most people feel an improvement within three to six sessions. Regular follow up sessions are then recommended to maintain optimum health.
I am on medication; will this interfere with the treatment or the nutritional supplements?
You will need to disclose all medication that you are taking at the initial consultation to ensure that any recommended nutritional supplements will not inhibit the efficiency of the medication.
What may happen is that as your body starts to heal your prescription may require adjustment, and you will need to go back to your GP to have it reassessed. Under no circumstances should you stop any prescribed medication without agreeing it with your doctor.
Can I buy my nutrition supplements anywhere?
Not all nutritional supplements are created equal; many are chemically manufactured and have additives including colourings, flavourings and binders. These impede the absorption of the nutrition, as well as adding a cocktail of unnecessary extras to your body and you may be paying for something that is ineffective.
I chose to work with companies that supply high quality nutritional supplements. These are generally in the most bio available (easily absorbed and used by the body) form and with the least amount of additives. The beauty of Kinesiology is that it shows you exactly which nutrition you require and also which particular formulation will work best for you. This saves unnecessary expense.
Rather than being affiliated with only one company, I work with a number of different nutrition companies which show up consistently well with muscle testing. And as everybody is different your body may prefer one type of formula over another. Where possible I use test kits as this allows me to determine which company and formulation your body prefers.
In the interest of full disclosure - I do receive a commission from some companies and from some I don’t. Where I do receive a commission, there are often benefits for you to order using my practitioner reference – there may be a 10% discount or free postage, depending on the company.
In general you can order the nutrition you require directly from the relevant companies, there are only one or two companies where this is not possible and I need to place the order on your behalf.
There are links to most of the companies that I may recommend in the Shop.
